Individual Counseling - John Eckenwiler

John's practice consists of at least 30% individual counseling.

Over the last 25 years he has worked with a wide variety of personal issues in many different settings. This includes helping with:

spiritual issues in church settings

adjustment to serious medical issues such as cancer in a general hospital

working through physical and sexual abuse issues

stress management with corporate executives

sexual problems with both men and women

midlife crisis and

personal growth

to name just a few. There are few individual problems John has not worked with or is qualified to address.

John says, "I always tell people it's probably easier to get a filling at the dentist without Novocaine than ask for help, but once you do it turns out a lot more painless than you thought it would be". Folks who could use an extra hand sorting things out need compassion and acceptance before anything else.

The counseling provided is very solution-oriented, with the belief that solutions already lie within you and they just need to be drawn out. Taking the first step is by far the most difficult.
